The Process of the Lord’s Resurrection On the Morning of the Week
A. Three women
like Mary Magdalene and other two
 wanted to anoint the body of Jesus (16:1-3).
B. There was a great earthquake on the way
 for an angel of Lord
descending out of heaven
came and rolled away the stone from the door of the tomb (Matt. 28:2).
C. For fear of the angel the guards trembled and became as dead men (Matt. 28:3-4).
D. The three women and others women afterwards came to the tomb (Luke 24:1
10).
E. They saw that the stone had been rolled away
but did not see the body of the Lord (16:4; Luke 24:2-3).
F. Mary of Magdalene ran to tell Peter and John (John 20:2).
G. Other women who left in the tomb met the angel who declared them the message of resurrection (16:5-7).
H. Those women went out quickly and fled from the tomb (16:8).
I. When Peter and John heard what was told by Mary
they ran to the tomb and saw the linen cloths and the napkin that was about his head (John 20:3-10).
J. Mary of Magdalene stood at the tomb weeping without
and saw two angels in the tomb (John 20:11-13).
