“ EVEN AS” IN EPHESIANS.

Ⅰ. Even as of sinnership. “ Children of wrath even as others” (Eph.2:3).

Ⅱ. Even as of calling. “ Even as ye are called in one hope of your calling” (Eph.4:4).

Ⅲ. Ever as of headship. “ Husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church” (Eph.4:32).

Ⅳ. Ever as of headship. “ Husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church” (Eph.5:23)

OUR SPEECH.

The Lord tells us in Ephesians what we are to do with our speech:

Ⅰ. Testimony. “ Speaking the truth in love” (4:15).

Ⅱ. Test of conversion. “ Put off……former conversation” (4:22).

Ⅲ. Thinking of others. “ Speak every man truth with his neighbour” ( 4:25).

Ⅳ. Thoroughness. “ No corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth” (4:29).

Ⅴ. Tattling to be done with. “ Evil speaking be put away” (4:31).

Ⅵ. Trifling to be put away. “ Foolish talking……not to be named” ( 5:4).

Ⅶ. Thankfulness. “ Speaking……psalms ” ＆c.(5:19).
